What Tiger Woods and I share in common

Tiger is back!

He’s playing in the first round of the Masters today.

Do you know what I have in common with Tiger Woods?

We both have coaches.

Even when he was the tippy-top of his game, he had a swing coach because he knew he couldn’t couldn’t swing and analyze his swing at the same time.

He needed someone to objectively advise him on his game because it’s too hard to do it yourself when you’re the one playing the game.

I have a coach too. I know I can’t play the game of business and objectively analyze my game at the same time..

So I work with a business coach and an accountability coach to me see around corners and step over the landmines.

It costs me enough to be uncomfortable, which ensures I’m paying attention.

How about you? What kind of mentors, coaches, advisors are you using?

(And if you’re answer is “none” that’s okay. You’ll probably still get to where you’re going. You’ll just get there later than you could have if you worked with someone.)
