Don’t Add To The Money Graveyard

When I “discovered” Peloton during a weekend vacation in July I really wanted to get one… like really, REALLY!

But the Financial Zen Master in me HATES wasting money.

So I refused to chance adding to the world’s money graveyard of dust-collecting, barely touched exercise machines.

Instead of buying one in July, I made a pact with myself – if I make it to December and I successfully added Peloton to my workout regime, THEN I can get one.

6 months later, I have 64 rides under my belt and only the first two were on an actual Peloton bike.

Now that I know I’ll use it, I’m ready to splurge and buy myself a Christmas present.

(A REFURBISHED Christmas present, obviously!)

Financial Zen Masters aren’t afraid to spend money. We work hard and deserve to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

But we absolutely DESPISE wasting it.

So before we ante up for that new hobby, we kick the tires first to make sure we don’t add more golf clubs, DSL cameras, or yes – Peloton bikes – to the money graveyard.
