Our Members naturally fall into two distinct camps:
**1. Those chasing Financial Zen as COMFORTABLY as possible.**
**2. Those chasing Financial Zen as QUICKLY as possible.**
Some of us are anchored to a *Financial Zen AGE*, while others are anchored to a *Financial Zen NUMBER*.
CATEGORY 1: The AGE Anchors
Personally, I’m in this camp. We’re on track to reach Financial Zen around age 55.
Do I plan to actually retire then? Definitely not. But I believe the captain steering the Financial Zen ship should always be within 10 years of Financial Zen.
Here’s how we approach spending:
* **Any increase in spending is met with either:**
1. A cut somewhere else, or
2. An increase in earnings.
This keeps lifestyle creep under control while still enjoying the ride.
CATEGORY 2: The NUMBER Chasers
Then there are our Category 2 Members, the Financial Zen sprinters.
Their goal is to hit their Financial Zen Number as quickly as possible.
*(Quick refresher: if you spend \$150k per year, you need roughly $3 million invested to retire comfortably.)*
For them, it’s about maximum savings, minimal lifestyle creep, and a laser focus on stacking up assets.
Every spare dollar goes toward their Financial Zen Fund, accelerating their timeline to freedom.
So… Which Is Better?
Truth is, there’s no “right” answer. It’s like asking if blue is better than green.
We believe you should lean into your natural wiring.
The only thing we don’t encourage is floating through life without a goal.
Financial Zen Masters don’t drift, rudderless down the river. They steer with purpose, whether by age or number.
Which one are you?
