17 years ago, I thought I was building a small business. Turns out, I was starting a movement.
Back then, my goals were modest:
- Work for myself
- Get back into finance
- Help people
I figured I’d make good money doing work I loved. Simple.
But once I got inside the financial advisory industry, I realized something was deeply broken.
Behind the glossy brochures, I found an industry chasing assets, not impact. Advisors were turning their backs on younger generations – the very people who could benefit most from guidance early in life.
That broke my heart. And it lit a fire.
I realized my calling wasn’t just to “make a living.” It was to build something different.
That’s why Financial Zen exists.
– Here to help, not gather assets.
– Help the young and underserved, not to cater to your parents.
– Deliver (AND execute) objective, in-depth strategies for Gen X, Y, and Z.
Seventeen years later, I’m proud to say: mission accomplished. We’ve built a firm dedicated to helping people at the start of their financial journey on the right foot – so they can make a lifetime of smart money decisions.
Now, the next chapter begins: making Financial Zen a household name.
To the families who took a chance on me when I was just starting – the Leles, Birketts, Louies, and my parents – I’ll never forget you taking a chance on me.
Here’s to the next 17 years. 🚀
