3 things financially healthy families do

These are the top 3 things I see from the most financially healthy families. They not only look good on paper, but they feel good about their money too.

  1. They respect fear. Fear is an adaptive trait that kept our ancestors alive. In finance, a healthy amount of fear keeps you attentive. It prevents you from being over confident and having the “it will all work out” mentality. They use it as a signal to take action.
  2. They align wealth with values. If your finances aren’t aligned with who you are, no amount of wealth will make you feel successful. These families know their definition of success and use money to fuel what matters most to them.
  3. They invest in both today and tomorrow. Just because you want to be financially independent early, doesn’t mean you have to make yourself miserable today by penny pinching. Finding a balance prevents burnout and leads to better long-term wellbeing
