forced reps = self-identity = your future

“We’ve been on all of them except for two,” they proudly stated.

“And that’s why the future you envision is just a matter of time,” I replied.

Last night  two of our A+ Financial Zen Members demonstrated the value of getting your reps in.

They clearly see themselves as people who show up to Financial Zen Live! every week.

If you dig a level deeper, that means they now identify themselves as people who are smart and attentive stewards of their money (and therefore future).

You will live up (or down) to your self-image

Once we establish a self-image – good or bad – we will impulsively act in a manner that reinforces it.

If you view yourself as “bad with money” then you’ll look for proof that reinforces that belief, even to the point of self-sabotage.

If you see yourself as “good with money”, then your thoughts, beliefs and most importantly – actions – will reinforce that self-image.

Forced Reps

So how do you gain a positive self-image? With forced reps.

At first you need to show up deliberately.

Working out regularly is hard at first. But once you string together 4-5 weeks of consistent workouts, you’ll start to see yourself as “someone who works out.”

And that’s when the real change happens because you’ll instinctively live up to that new identity.

You can’t skep any steps

Our Financial Zen Members from last night chose to show up every week.

They put in the effort that created a habit which gave them the positive self-image they need to achieve the future they envision.

If you were already the person you need to be to achieve what you want to achieve then you would have already achieved it.

First you put in the reps. Then you become the person. Then you achieve.

You can’t skip any steps.
