My favorite day of the year!

Decked out head-to-toe in Longhorn burnt orange, my best friend and I pass by an unassuming

Oklahoma Sooner fan at the Red River Shootout.

I ask the Sooner fan, “Hey man, you got the time?”

The Sooner looks at his watch and politely responds “It’s a little after 11.”

And without hesitating, Keith hollers “And OU STILL SUCKS!” finishing my set up.

Everyone laughs and we go get a corndog.

It’s Texas-OU Weekend, the best rivalry in college football.

A little healthy competition is good for the soul, if you ask me.

As Robin Williams says in Dead Poets’ Society, “Sport is an opportunity to have other human beings push

us to excel.”

And that’s the spirit with which we encourage healthy competition among our Financial Zen Community.

Our average Financial Zen Member is due to achieve financial freedom in 9 years.

They will be 51 years old on average.

They save 33% of their income.

If you’re ahead of the pack, let that inspire you to STAY ahead of the pack.

If you’re coming from behind, let it inspire you to show everyone what you’re made of.  (Who doesn’t love

the underdog?)

(And if you’re not a Financial Zen Member and have no idea if you’re ahead or behind, then schedule your
