You may already know this, but the whole Financial Zen thing about being able to retire insanely,
ridiculously early is not my own invention.
It’s a different take on the FIRE movement (Financial Independence Retire Early).
Whereas the FIRE movement has traditionally been associated with 20-something’s eating Ramen to
retire at 30, the Financial Zen version is kind of like “FIRE for grown ups”.But there’s still plenty
inspiration to be gained from the FIRE movement.
Including this little gem I found today. It’s a different take on early retirement written by someone who’s
PARENTS retired at 42.
