One of the Achille’s heels for high achievers like you and me is that we can get frustrated and impatient that we haven’t already arrived at our destination.

1. Where you are today is beyond your wildest dreams compared to what you thought was possible when you were eighteen years old.
2. The route you took to get here was totally unpredictable from your vantage point as an eighteen-year-old.
3. The path that got you here was anything but linear or planned. If your life even remotely resembles mine, your path to this point is the most convoluted and tortuous route imaginable. Yet, here I am!”
Be patient, my friend. You and I will arrive at a future in 20 years that we can’t even fathom right now.
