– Christmas Trees: Ancient Egyptians and Romans would decorate an evergreen to signify that spring would return.
– Rudolph the Reindeer: Santa’s best guide was created by Montgomery Ward in 1939 as a marketing strategy.
– Santa Claus in Red: The modern image of Santa was developed by Coca Cola in the 1930’s, also as a marketing strategy. Until then he was kind of scary and often dressed in green, blue and white.
