International Women’s Day

If it wasn’t for my mom Financial Zen wouldn’t exist.

She taught me to never give up and that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Without those lessons, the pain and sweat of building this company would have broken my back a long time ago.

If it wasn’t for my wife Financial Zen wouldn’t exist.

Nicole’s unwavering support to chase this crazy dream of changing the world got me through a sea of self-doubt. With her by my side, I can overcome any obstacle.

Mrs. King, my 3rd grade teacher was the first teacher I remember believing in me. All the teachers before her (and most of the teachers after her) thought I was just a hopeless class clown with no future.

Chantal’s my right-hand woman. There’s no way I could manage even our small company without her, much less as we continue to scale.

Like me, I’m sure many women have impacted your life.

It seems like the very least we can do is ensure women get equal pay for equal work.

So my promise is to always pay equally for the same role regardless of gender. Salary negotiations will have no part in our compensation packages.

I may not be able to even the playing field on my own, but I can do my part. (If you have other ideas on how to close the gap, please let me know!)

And remember to thank the women in your life today for everything they’ve done for you!
