Invest in the climate, not the weather

I recently upgraded my health stack with a Whoop band and a Withings scale.

Every morning, my wrist and my bathroom floor compete to tell me how I’m doing.

It’s the perfect analogy for investing.

The Whoop = The Weather (Short Term)

It tells me if I slept poorly or if my recovery is red. It’s like looking out the window and seeing rain. It tells me to swap heavy weights for a cardio sesh. But it doesn’t change my destination (the gym).

The Withings = The Climate (Long Term)

This tracks the trends that actually matter: 📈 Is my muscle mass up? 📉 Is my resting heart rate down? 📅 Is my body fat trending lower?

If the Climate is good, a bad night of sleep (Weather) doesn’t matter.

Most investors obsess over the Weather. A 2% dip on Tuesday. A Fed announcement. “World on fire” geopolitics. If you build your strategy around the weather, you spend your life frantically changing clothes and never leaving your house.

We invest in the Climate. We track compounding growth, asset allocation, and long-term goals.

Dress for the weather, sure. But move for the climate.
