This year we started tracking how far out our Financial Zen Members are from financial freedom, aka early
retirement, aka financial zen.
Once I had the data compiled, then I stack ranked everyone from youngest Financial Zen Age to oldest.
And as I’ve mentioned a bazillion times before, the ones on the fast track to “retire” at 43 or 45 or 47 are
the ones who are focused on their money game.
They show up to appointments with homework done and questions in hand.
They read not just Financial Zen content, but other sources as well.
And most importantly they regularly spend time reviewing their finances.
In developing the Money M.O.R.S.E. Code I wanted to make it easy for people who aren’t wired that way
to BECOME wired that way.
So the first step in the Money M.O.R.S.E. Code is “Money Time.”
What is “Money Time”?
It’s a non-negotiable 25 minutes per week Financial Zen Masters spend on their finances.
So right this instant book a recurring 25 minute appointment with yourself every week.
Set yourself up for success and schedule it during a time of the week when things are usually quiet.
Maybe on a Monday night after the kids go to bed. Or maybe early morning on a Saturday.
Whatever works into your schedule, book it, make it recurring and mark it as “busy”, so no one books on
top of it.
And when your Money Time arrives, turn off your phone, shut the door, close your email and concentrate
for 25 minutes uninterrupted.
30% or more of your time every week is spent EARNING your money.
So wouldn’t it make sense to prioritize just 0.25% of your week to taking CARE of your money?
Tomorrow, I’ll show you what to focus on during your weekly Money Time.
