Unlike most financial planners, this is not a “lifestyle” business for me.
I am not interested in simply gathering 100 clients, incrementally improving their lives and and calling it a
day.
I want to blow up the “work till 65” American career culture.
I want to empower you to live your life without the constraints of money and resources.
I want to change futures.
This year has been pivotal in getting to the “why” of Financial Zen.
I always thought it was to “get your financial house in order.”
A noble pursuit, no doubt. And one that’s allowed us to add a lot of value to the world.
But it’s not enough.
It stops short of the ultimate result.
The ultimate result we all want is the freedom to pursue our passion.
“…but what I really want to do is play music.”
That was the last sentence of a 20 minute conversation I had with a friend recently about the start up gig
he’s considering.
19 minutes and 57 seconds was about the new job.
The last 3 seconds was about what he REALLY wants. The ultimate result.
This year has been like one long flashback scene in a movie where I’ve remembered all the hundreds of
conversations I’ve had just like that one through the years.
If they could, everyone would swap out their 9-to-5 gigs for something they truly love.
And I am now obsessively focused on that mission.
I want to empower as many people as possible to swap out their 9-to-5’s for their passion.
I want to change futures.
No, this not a “lifestyle business” for me.
We’ve got big plans for the world and they all started this year.
