R is for Raise Your Financial IQ

The Money M.O.R.S.E. Code is the foundation on which to 10X your financial future.

“M” is for Money Time – a non-negotiable 25 minutes per week for your finances.

“O” is for Observe Your Money – spending, savings, total assets

“R” is for Raise Your Financial IQ.

When you’ve been helping people make smart financial decisions for over 13 years like I have, you’ve

pretty much seen it all.

So speaking from experience, most bad financial decisions are not due to a lack of intelligence.

We work with high achievers who are also highly intelligent.

I like to think I’m also highly intelligent and yet I can’t…write code…or read music…or speak Spanish.

The inability to do those things isn’t because I’m not smart enough.  It’s because I haven’t taken the time

to learn them.

But if I dedicated 10 minutes every week to learning Spanish, I’d get better and better every week. I might

not be able to hold a conversation, but I’d pick up the basics.

Similarly, spending 10 minutes a week would raise your Financial IQ.

Maybe you wouldn’t take over for Warren Buffett, but you’d know enough to ask smart questions which

lead to smart decisions.

So take 10 minutes every week to read Financial Zen content or listen to finance podcasts or read some

investment books. Whatever it is, just dedicate 10 minutes to learn something about money you didn’t

already know.

Here’s a few resources to start with:
