Sunday Two-fer

Don’t Play From Behind

“Oh no!”, I mumbled with a mouthful of ravioli.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay?”, Nicole asked concerned.

I put my fork down and swallowed.

“I forgot to send out Financial Zen Daily today!”

This was last night on date night at our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant, Risto Bar.

So that’s why you didn’t get a fresh FZ Daily yesterday. To make up for it, here’s two on Sunday.

The lesson from last night was to not play from behind. What do I mean?

I used to write and schedule FZ Daily the day before for just such an oversight. Then I missed one and never went back to playing from in front.

So starting today, I’ll go back to writing a day in advance.

I also see people playing from behind with their money all the time.

If you buy “too much house” you’re playing from behind.

If you buy a new car with the bonus you’re getting NEXT month, you’re playing from behind.

And if you don’t pay off your credit card bill every month, you’re most definitely playing from behind.

Playing from in front is playing from a position of strength with a sturdy foundation. Always play from in front when you can.

Sunday Motivation

And here’s your Sunday motivation from Jim Rohn to get Week 2 of 2022 off to a solid start.

“You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction.”
