The Declaration of Independence changed the game

There will never be another America.

The Declaration of Independence changed the game.

We put opportunity on the map.

And for all our problems, we are still the land of opportunity.

Where else can a girl born into poverty in rural Mississippi, molested continuously during childhood and pregnant at 14 overcome those odds to become the daytime talk show queen, owning a media empire that made her one of the richest women in the world?

Or a Brooklyn kid who grew up in public housing who goes on to put a little green coffeehouse on every corner of the country?

How about a Scottish immigrant born into a one room cottage to handloom weavers who worked his way up into owning the entire American steel industry during the Industrial Revolution?

The history of our country is littered with stories like these.

Before our independence was declared, you were destined to live the life that your parents lived. And their parents before them.

Opportunity was nonexistent, much less a Right.

But America changed all that.

So while we’re not perfect, 246 years on I think we can say the great American experiment is a success and the best is yet to come.

And it’s that same opportunity that gives you ability to achieve FINANCIAL independence in your 30’s/40’s/50’s, so you can live the majority of your years truly in the pursuit of happiness.
