The market tanked AGAIN today! It feels like we’re in freefall, but are we really?
We hit our last all time high in December. Since then it’s been mostly down. In fact, the S&P 500 is down 16.3% for the year.
Over the last 12 months, it’s down 5.7%!
“So Rick,” you ask. “I thought you said we should assume a 10% return on our long-term money. What gives?”
Yes, I do say that. The key-term being long-term. As in 10+ years.
Since May 9, 2012, the market is UP 204.6%!!!
Good investors focus on the 204.6%.
Bad investors (aka POOR investors) focus on the -16.3%.
