The Only Time To Get Out Of The Market

I was asked that last week during one of our monthly meetings.

FZ MEMBER: “So I know last year wasn’t bad enough to pull out of the market. But surely there must be some point where it gets so bad, we go to cash.”

ME: “There definitely is.”

FZ MEMBER: “Oh really?”

ME: “Yup. There’s only one problem.”

FZ MEMBER: “What’s that?

ME: “You’ll be too busy foraging for shotgun shells and canned goods to care about what your portfolio’s doing.”

The only time we pull money out of the market is if the entire global economic system fails.

And that doesn’t happen when “regular” bad things happen like bursting bubbles, runaway inflation or even another Great Depression.

We’ve seen those movies before.

The only way the global economic system will fail is if the entire human race is threatened.

Nuclear holocaust. A dinosaur-extinction asteroid. The sun exploding.

THEN you should definitely get out of the market.

I just hope your bunker has wifi.
