Sitting poolside in Vegas reflecting on the first half of my life, I read a timely article in GQ about Francis Ford Coppola.
It was serendipitous because it captures my philosophy on life and in my experience – the secret to longevity.
I don’t think it was coincidental that Betty White lived to almost 100 while still working.
Or that Warren Buffet is still going strong at 96 running Berkshire Hathway.
Or that Francis Ford Coppola at 82 is making a $150M film financed with his own money.
When the interviewer asked him if this would be his last movie, FFC replied:
“So, I’m 82. I could well live to be 100 or thereabouts. Say that means I could have roughly 20 years of productivity.”
What 82 year old thinks about how productive he can be for the next 20 years!?!?!
One that lives to triple digits, that’s who.
One who has impacted the world and made their dent in their universe.
May we all have 100 years of productivity in us!
Have a great weekend!
