Fly Private If You Can!

For the record, I could care less how much money you spend or where you spend it.

If you don’t mind coach, then save a buck.

First class – if it sparks joy, then go for it.

If you can afford to fly private, then I am super jealous and look forward to the day I can join you.

There is no “right” answer for where you should spend your money.

HOWEVER…

It SHOULD be done with your eyes wide open.

If you’re flying first class, but you’re on track to retire at 70 then it should be a conscious decision that your prioritizing your lifestyle over achieving Financial Zen.

Alternatively, if you’ve achieved Financial Zen with more than a comfortable buffer and you’re flying coach, then you should be as equally aware of your sacrifice.

You’re flying coach because saving money feels better than spending, but to what end?

Lastly, if you can fly private AND you’re happy with your Financial Zen Year, then Mazel Tov!

I can’t wait to someday join you and skip the hellish experience that is TSA and commercial airlines.

(On my last flight, the TSA supervisor forced me to get a new ticket issued because my ID says “Richard Valenzi”, but my ticket had “Rick Valenzi”.)
